Red Shift

$300.00

Original Painting, acrylic on panel, framed, 14” x 11”

Red Shift explores the interplay of multiple abstract languages within a single geometric framework. Angular divisions organize the composition into distinct fields, each developing its own visual vocabulary through pattern, texture, and color. Organic glyph-like forms, maze-inspired structures, rhythmic stripes, and metallic circular motifs occupy neighboring spaces, creating a dialogue between contrasting systems.

A palette of deep blacks, vibrant violets, turquoise, and metallic gold unifies the composition while allowing each section to maintain its own identity. The juxtaposition of structured and intuitive mark-making encourages the eye to move between fields, discovering relationships that emerge through repetition, contrast, and proximity.

Part of the Field Studies series, Red Shift investigates how different visual approaches can coexist within a shared structure, inviting viewers to make their own connections between the painting's varied abstract languages.
